Irfanview 4.10: The Best Just Got Better

Don’t look now, but the web’s premiere freeware image viewer is now also an image editor, thanks to a plugin that allows it to act as one. But this is just one of the newer features of Irfanview version 4.10. I have featured Irfanview in my tutorials on web graphics and for good reason: It is a very useful tool for web authoring and for digital photo processing. Whether you are just an amateur like myself or a professional, you’ll find that IrfanView is is a must-have tool on your desktop. The main application is only 1.8 MB in size. By itself it can be used for simple image processing. Add to it the complete plugins (about 6.3MB) and you have a tool that can make things really happen for your images.

For those who are long-time users of IrfanView there is now the added option of customizing the applications’ toolbar. There are currently two skins available in the download package. Who knows, perhaps when the idea catches on, we’d find a lot more users contributing eye candy to the Irfanview interface.

Go to the Irfanview website now and download this free software. You won’t find any other freeware image manipulation software as generously endowed as this one.
